Another week, another race. This time we join the SCORR Circut at the newly redesigned Farmersville track. This is the first time cars have run on this track, and no one knew what to expect.
Dust... That is all anyone saw of the heat. At times on the grandstand side of the track you could not see beyond your own windshield. This caused numourus fender benders and a near rollover by Bill when he only half hit one of the jumps.
Conditions for the feature were improved with some much needed watering. Bill took the early lead but lost his right front tire. Lisa lost her trany not long after. Still in the lead, Bill's hood flew open. Blinded and unable to get the car up to speed it was only a matter of time before eventual winner Ken Lesure went by. Barb charged hard, but was a lap short of catching Bill's badly beaten car, having to settle for 3rd. Wayne again broke down ending up in 4th.
We look forward to running at Farmersville again. We enjoyed running a new and challenging corse with a great bunch of guys.
