...So I get a messege from my brother Thursday night, "What are you doing on Sat.?" A soon as i heard that i knew what he did. He rented a bus to figure 8 race at the "Crash-O-Rama" at Holland Speedway. In the span of 1 day we had to hot wire, change starters, and paint the beast. Some how we got it all done...

...And then there is getting it to the track. The bus was being used as billboard for the event, and was 5 miles away from the track. Ever try and sneak a 66 passanger bus through the middle fo town? Not as easy as it may sound, but we did it. I'm sure every one believed the F150 was towing the bus...

The night ended up alot shorter, and more interesting, the we would ever have expected. Wanye started back in the pack and was having trouble getting around around slower traffic. Busses don't handle like Indy carts. Passing can be a bit more challanging that one might expect. On lap 5 Wayne finally pulled up along side another bus, and was about the complete the pass. Blinded to what was coming in the "X", he charged ahead of the other bus. Little did he know that the leaders were on there way.

The leader made it through safely, but Chuck Rush's 2nd place K9 bus wasnt so lucky. Wayne hit him square in the rear axle and sent him flying. The K9 would have done a full roll over if not for the infield tower. The fans were estatic to get what they payed for. Both drivers were uninjured and gave them a wave to thunderous chears.

With the front end caved in, radiator cruched, shift linkage twisted, and frame rail through the starter, Wayned night was done. Chuch was able to reattach the axle and make the feature. Though disapointed in the shortness of the night, we all had a great time, and were thankful that no one was hurt.
